Ballerinas in Noblesville will have a new home this fall, 15262 Herriman Blvd. Classes start September the 6th. Check the schedule page for class times and contact Miss April at 698-4237 to register.

April 29 – May 22nd Ballerinas modern teacher, Miss Kristen begins rehearsals for the April 29th – May 22nd run of “Chicago” at the Carmel Palladium, performed by the Actors Theater of Indiana!!!

4/22/2011 So Yon Nam international teacher and former principal dancer with Ballet Internationale will be teaching a Master Class Friday, April the 22nd at the Noblesville studio at 7:30. Space is limited!!!

2/20/2011 Baileigh Isaacs, her mother Jeannie, grandmother Marylou and Becky VanBriggle went to the Master Class taught by Gillian Murphy, principal dancer with American Ballet Theater this morning. Baileigh danced beautifully for her favorite ballerina!!! How exciting for Baileigh to meet Miss Murphy and take a class from her!!!

2/26/2011 Hannah Sego and Shamilah Jermison auditioned for the new Indianapolis based modern dance company created by Nick Owens. The compamy’s first performance is scheduled for May.

Miss Erin, one of Ballerinas Preschool and Kindergarten teachers and her daughter Viven recently went to Tipton Elementary School to give school children there a demonstration on dance and it’s many forms. Miss Erin received a lovely Thank You card from the school!!!

2/11/2011 Ballerinas has established the “Ballerinas Student Aid Fund” inspired by Betty Gwinn who spearheaded the work of educating the public to the art of ballet back in the 1960′s here in Indianapolis. The fund will be used at the discretion of Ballerinas faculty in aiding students to reach their dance related goals. A special presentation was made at our annual Winter Review recognizing the work Betty did in the 60′s.

1-20-2011 Faculty member Kristen Noonan will be performing aerial dancing at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new part of the Convention Center on Thursday January the 20th, 9:30 to 10AM!!!

Miss Ann performed the Tango with Ballerinas’ Ballroom Instructor Rob Jenkins at a showcase downtown at Riola.

12-17-2011 Ballerinas Student and Teachers Assistant,  Baileigh Isaacs performed three roles in the Nutcracker December the 17 th -  the 19th at the Scottish Rite Theater!!!

Our annual Winter Review is scheduled for February the 11th at Westfield HS. Performing their 10thyear solos will be Becca Trainor and Shamilah Jermison. Also performing will be Teacher Hannah Sego dancing her college audition pointe and modern solos.

Beef and Boards Dinner Theater Field Trip

Congratulations to all of our students who performed July the 16th at Beef and Boards as the pre-show for the evening show of “High School Musical.” Mr Jones, Miss Lauren, Miss Becky and Mr. Jenkins collaborated and choreographed a 4 and a half minute production piece featuring jazz, modern, pointe and ballroom to the theme music from the movie “Fame.” The piece was warmly received by a very appreciative audience and our dancers had a great time. We received a formal thank you from Beef and Boards and we hope to perform there again in the future!
